NIGHT
So much more beautiful than light
It gives some creatures a fright.
It sparkles and shimmers
Even in the dead of winter.
Black as coal
White as snow.
Most beautiful thing around
The stars make her crown.
It sparkles like new fallen snow.
It surrounds me and engulfs me
And hides me in the tree.
In it's depths it brings me safety
I have been loving it more and more lately.
I am drawn to it
I can't stop staring even when I try to quit
She pulls me in and marks me as her own
As I stare at the unknown.
