A/N: O.k. I diddn't like my last story What Should Have Been I just diddnt like how it turned out so this is my new story Lessons Learned I'm really happy with how its turning out and love the chapters im putting in. This is a Cato/ Katniss story and i hope you like it

Chapter 1
"If you're leaving it's over ; I don't do long distance relationships." Gale says so nonchalant it shatters what's left of my already broken heart. " Wow Gale we've been together for four years and this is how you treat me? You know what, i'm glad we're moving... Have a nice life Gale."
I yell slamming the door to my truck and starting the five minute drive home.

As soon as i get home my mother comes out to greet me. " So how'd it go?"She asks. Immediately at her words i burst out in tears. " Awwww Kat you'll get to see Gale soon" , "Ugh, I don't want to see him, You know what his first words to the news where? If your leaving, it's over" I sob into my mothers arms. " Oh sweetie i'm so sorry!" , "It's OK when are we leaving?" , "In about 10 minutes." , "OK i'll get Prim" , "darling" , " yes mother" , " I promise everything will turn out just fine i promise." my mother says putting more boxes into the car. I walk into the house once full of happiness and life, but now empty and hollow much like the hearts of the people who live here. Lastly I see my beautiful little sister running her hands on the steps of the back porch. "Prim it's time to go" , "O'Kay ; You know i remember him sitting here with me on his lap and you sitting beside him and him singing and laughing, I miss him" , "Oh i do too Prim" , " I miss him so much Kat, his smile, all the great advise he always gave us" , ''Me too, but i think that that's why were leaving ; We need to start new lives and we can't do that confined in the memories" , " I guess you're right, I just wish things could be different" , " Me too."
And with that we get in the car and leave the house that holds my past and all memories of my father.
