Haha, I had a little encounter with some evil bees (those things are out to get me!) and this drabble wrote itself in my head. Enjoy, and reviews are appreciated.
Bee Sting
Ah, springtime. The time of love, flowers, sun…
And most of all…
The dreaded bee. Most intelligent people know to avoid these deadly insects, but some are not so wise, and so, fall prey to the terrible sting.
One of these people - though one would not have expected it - was Hiei.
"Stop scratching it," Kurama scolded, while he tried to apply the cream from the plant he had.
Hiei shot him a glare. "What the hell was that thing?" he snapped, crossing his arms.
Kurama rolled his eyes. Honestly, he could be such a baby. "A bee," he answered calmly, swatting Hiei's hands aside and spreading cream across the rather large sting.
"And what the hell is a bee and why the hell was it in my tree?"
"It's an insect, Hiei. It doesn't think you own the stupid tree. I'm sure it must've thought you were some kind of shrubbery that needed to be pollinated," Kurama responded. He stood up and set a cup of tea in front of Hiei, who proceeded to stare it down. The red-headed demon sighed, sitting down on the couch.
"Hmph," was the only thing out of his mouth.
"How did you get it to sting you anyway?" Kurama asked, now that Hiei had calmed down.
"It was sitting in my hair, what was I supposed to do, leave it there?" the short-tempered demon grumbled.
Kurama eyed him amused; his friend looked like a sulking child who had just been bitten by his own dog. "That's odd," he commented casually. "I would think bees would stay away from you, with that aura you possess."
"Infernal things."
"Stop scratching it!"
"Leave me alone, fox!"
"I'll tell Kuwabara and Yusuke if you keep scratching it," Kurama warned.
Silence.
Who would've thought the Great Hiei would be stung by a bee?
