My name is Marina, and I love the water. I know, its ironic. I get made fun of all the time. I love black and blue. They're the perfect combination. Dark and gothic with blue and oceany (is oceany a word?). Anyway, I'm seventeen years old, and live with my little cousin, Anna. We have a secret. We're on the run. From monsters. I know it sounds crazy, but I can control water. Ever since I turned eleven, the attacks have been getting worse. One of the only reasons we're still alive is Anna's gift with hunting and craftsmanship. She just is ten, almost eleven. When she turns eleven next month, I think the attacks will get worse. This is our story. It all starts with the rain.
