"We can't can't keep doing this." The words make him freeze. His hearts stops. His face contorts into that of disbelief.

"Oh really?" he manages to choke out. She brushes a stray strand of her fiery hair behind her ear.

"They're going to find out eventually, Dray. I can't deal with something like that. I can't keep on doing this behind Dean's back, either." Her gaze falls to the ground.

"Oh, I'm not good enough for you then? As if, Weasel- try the other way around," he sneers.

The Gryffindor takes a step back, eyes wide with shock. "Of course not, Dray! I just-"

"You're such a slut, Weasley." A mocking grin finds it's way onto his face as he interrupts her.

"You don't understand what I'm trying to say! Dray, I," she exclaims, her voice falling to a whisper, "I love you."

He gives a hollow laugh as he replies. "Pathetic, Weaslette. You're pathetic, absolutely pathetic. Love? Did you honestly believe I loved you?" The redhead nods slowly, as if in a trance, unable to comprehend the meaning of his words. "Who could ever love someone like you? A poor, ugly slut. You really thought I loved you?" The boy began to walk out of the classroom, pausing at the doorway. He throws a smirk on his face and turns around so the sobbing girl could see it.

"I loved you, Dray," she whispers again, eyes set on the wall in front of her.

"I never loved you."

Draco Malfoy makes it two corridors down before sinking to his knees. His gray eyes emit a single tear as he whispers to himself. "I lied, you know. I really did love you."

For the Failed Relationships challenge on the HPFC

this has got to be the most dialogue I've ever written for a one-shot. I also don't usually use dialogue though. haha
