Title: Twilight

Book Series: Southern Vampire Mysteries

Author: Beloved Slayer

Rating: T

Summary: It's Bill or Eric who Sookie must decide to be with. One shot.

Author's Note: The idea for this just sprang into my head. It's just a short, yet fun little ficlet. It could fall under the humor category, but I didn't want to label the story so feel free to take it as it is. Hope you guys enjoy. May be a little bit out of character, while taking place sometime after the events of Definitely Dead. This is dedicated to all the Eric lovers out there. Enjoy!

Chapter One

"Sookie, please, why are you doing this?" Bill demanded, his eyes an infinite look of sadness, his brows furrowed into narrow slits as his lips formed into a slight line.

He crouched closer to her, his hand outstretched in order to reach for hers, but Sookie had managed to dodge his touch, taking a step back with weariness and sharp precision.

"Why? Bill Compton, who do you think I am? How could you even ask me that after what had happened? I can't trust you, I can't trust your lies. You expect me to believe that you love me? I can't. I won't," her voice was laced with a dangerous edge as she took another step backward, her back hitting the frame of the front door as she searched her purse desperately for the keys to the farmhouse.

Then a voice, soft and cold as the night itself appeared, interrupting the conversation as it broke the tension that had befallen on the ex-lovers.

"Bill, you have no right to claim what is no longer yours. Sookie can do as she pleases," Eric announced coolly, a blond eyebrow raised above his eye, his hands behind his back, his posture relaxed, yet it radiated predatory movements that were familiar to him. "Come to me lover." He threw a ferocious grin towards Bill, whose eyes were radiating with seething rage, and loss.

"Gladly," Sookie muted with a grin toppling her face, tossing the purse and the newfound keys aside with recklessness as she trotted towards the Viking Sheriff of Area Five, arms opening to pull him into her embrace as their lips met with a passionate fury that enraged Bill to the bone.

If Bill Compton were alive and still human, he would had felt his heart breaking into a million pieces. He dropped belligerently to his knees and howled, knowing that what he had once was now lost to forever, for all time.
