Sango looked around irritably at the sights and ran through the recent conversation once again. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't bring herself to forgive him. He had gone way too far this time. And the worst part was, she didn't even understand why this was bothering her so much. She took a deep breathe and went to find Kagome, not yet ready to face Miroku. When she finally did find said teen, she was sitting beside her favorite tree talking to her boyfriend, Inuyasha. Not wanting to interrupt, she went to seek the company of any one but Miroku, but couldn't seem to find any one who wasn't busy. She sighed and decided to just walk. The silence, comforting as it was, started to get the better of her, so she grabbed her phone and clicked a random playlist. The music soothed her heart and mind and allowed her to think clearly, without her thoughts being clouded by pure rage. As she continued walking, the conversation once again played over in her head, and this time she did manage to find fault with her own actions. 'I shouldn't have gone off like that. There had to be a better way to handle that. Yeah, he's a friend, and he flirts with me a lot, but I'm no more important to him than any other girl he flirts with.' Strangely, the thought struck a nerve in Sango, and she winced. 'So maybe some times I wish I were more important to him than the others, but that shouldn't be an excuse to fly off the handle at every thing. It's not like it's his fault...' For some reason, this train of thought was only making her mood plummet. She sighed and walked back to her residence and mumbled a quick hello to her father and sat next to her little brother
"Hi sis." Sango felt her lips form a small smile.
"Hi Kohaku. How was school?"
"Not bad. Rin invited me to her birthday party next week." Sango smiled once again.
"Have you decided on the present yet?" Kohaku wrinkled his nose.
"No. Girls are always so hard to buy presents for." Sango laughed.
"Well, let me know if you want some help. In the mean time, I'm hungry. Dad?"
"Check the microwave Sango." Sango nodded and did so. After retrieving her food, she sat down at the kitchen table, ate, and then proceeded to work on her homework. After answering about three algebra questions, she was startled by the ringing of her phone. She glanced at the caller ID and frowned, then silenced it and continued working. When her phone once again rang, she shut the ringer off and almost dropped her phone when it buzzed to inform her of a new text message. She sighed, clicked the 'view' button, and was shocked by the content. She began to smile and felt a tear run down her cheek as she stared at the screen. The message was short, but it held so much meaning. It said 'I'm so sorry. I love you.'
