The Other Haruno

Summary: What if Team 7 had 4 people? Impossible, I know. But just think. What if there was another Haruno? Follow Team 7 as they go on a journey to happiness, love, and heartbreak.

Ch 1: Meeting her

It was the meeting for all ninjas who passed the examinations. The were calling role call. "Uchiha Sasuke?" "hn." "Uzamaki Naruto?" "Here! Believe it!" "Sakura Haruno?" "Here!" "Kyoko Haruno?" No response. "Kyoko Haruno." Still nothing. Sasuke looked slightly surprised. 'Another Haruno? Must be mean fangirl.' Iruka was getting very annoyed. "For the last time, Kyoko Haruno!" "Here." Came a clear and solid voice from the back of the room. Everyone turned. The voice had come from a girl in a black shirt with the word 'Shinobi' in white letters across the chest. Sasuke's eyebrows rose. This girl was nothing like Sakura. She had raven black hair, like his own, and had piercing blue eyes. She was tall, a bit shorter than Sasuke, and was wearing denim skinny jeans. She met his eyes for a mere moment, then broke the gaze and looked back at Iruka. He grimaced. "And why, pray tell, are you late?" he asked. Kyoko smirked. "Well, I'd pull a Kakashi and say I got lost on the road of life, but I guess you're not that dimwitted. I was playing a show at the Band Shell last night and I got in late." Iruka smiled and said, "Oh, so you're Artemis from Artemis and the Goddesses." The girl nodded. Iruka's smile grew. "Amazing show. I especially liked the song 'No Way'" The girl nodded again and leaned back against the wall in the back. Kiba stood. "Would you like to-" "No thank you, I'm fine standing." Kyoko said, staring straight ahead. Kiba looked disappointed, but sat back down. After finishing role call, and hearing a brief lecture, (in which Sasuke watched with much amusement at Kyoko rolling her eyes throughout the entire thing) they started getting their teams. As they hit Team 7, Iruka called out, "Uchiha Sasuke," "Hn." "Sakura Haruno." "Yes! I'm with Sasuke-kun!" "Naruto Uzamaki," "Yes!" "Why Naruto?" Sakura muttered disappointedly. Sasuke sighed. 'Two idiots.' He thought. "And Kyoko Haruno." Kyoko's head snapped up at this. She leaned back with such force; her head hit the wall in a great amount of speed. "Three idiots." She groaned out loud. Sasuke turned, and glared. He was surprised to see the girl smirk back. "All right everybody, go eat lunch!" Iruka said, and everyone left. Sakura rushed up to Kyoko. "Won't this be fun Kyoko? We're on the same team!" But then she gave Kyoko a warning look. "But you better not try to steal Sasuke-kun from me." Kyoko looked at Sakura, and responded. "First of all, no, it will not be fun being on the same team as you. You're an ignorant, stubborn, insignificant child who needs to grow up. And secondly," here, she paused to glance at Sasuke. "Why would I want to steal something like that?" she said in disgust. She walked away. Sasuke was shocked. Did a girl just reject him?! He shrugged it off. He liked her anyway. He was the first girl who didn't swoon and sigh when she saw him. He liked that. He started to walk away to get lunch. Sakura rushed up to him. "Sasuke-kun! Do you want to eat lu-" "No." and he walked away.
