Dark clouds swirled overhead, threatening to spill rivets of rain. Lightning crackled overhead, illuminating the elvish face that was watching the storm with interest. She watched the patterns of the electricity, admiring the power as it seemed to strike closer and closer to her each time. She grinned, a menacing toothy grin, as the next strike was only a few feet in front of her, tossing up dirt from where it struck. The elf held her right hand above her head, waiting patiently for the next strike. Suddenly, it came down with a large craccckkkkk, she made her move then –needing to act quickly and efficiently. She began quickly reciting a chant as it inched closer to her open palm, then when it seemed it would strike her down – her hand quickly glowed a bright violet, and absorbed the entire electric menace. Pain coursed through her body as the electricity flowed freely throughout her entire being, radiating from head to toe. Then, as quickly as it came, it disappeared – leaving the she-elf feeling full with power. She brought her hand to her face, turning it over as sparks irradiated from the middle of her palm.

"That's an unnatural way to be. The power you possess is much stronger than you believe it to be." A quiet voice echoed behind her, and she twisted around in surprise. He stood there, eyes shining with interest, a veil fire glowing in his hand – throwing a strange blue light over the darkness of the forest in which she stood. Solas, she thought, always has to interrupt when I'm having a bit of fun. The know it all. Her pert nose turned upwards at him, and her voice came out – a melodic song dripping with malice.

"You really shouldn't spy on the dreams of others, Solas, its rude…and an invasion of privacy." He looked at her strangely, and then began to chuckle to himself. Solas stepped towards her, his footsteps as graceful as he held his posture. He stopped in front of her, their noses almost touching, and he reached out with his free arm and wrapped it around her tiny waist.

"Vhenan, you should learn to protect your dreams more efficiently, for someone is always watching – whether you want them to or not." Was his warm remark, as he pulled her against him, kissing her forehead affectionately. She sighed, her muscles relaxing as she melted into his arms. She looked up into his wise face, her blue eyes gathering in each of his perfect features.

"Oh, and who would want to spy on the Inquisitor?" she remarked back, her voice laced with sarcasm. He just grinned at her wisecrack and the placed a small gentle kiss on her lips. The veil fire in his hand went out, as he reached up to stroke her cheeks.

" It is nearly dawn, Alyce, the advisors will be fetching you soon….it is time to wake up." She grimaced at his words, but nodded and pulled away from his embrace. She smiled, and closed her eyes – the last words she heard from him before she woke, echoing in her ears – Dareth shiral.
