"There was a demon; Shapeshifter. It looked just like you," Clary said when Jace said he didn't see her in the tunnels and thought something had happened, as they stood in front of each other in a room at the institute.
"You alright?" he questioned her.
"Yeah; I'm fine."
"And the demon?"
"I sent it straight back to hell."
"How did you know it wasn't me?" he asked.
"I just knew."
"Really? It was a risk, wasn't it?"
"Well, this may be a shock, but I actually do listen to some of the things you tell me. You just have to pay attention to the details," she replied.
A moment later, they were kissing.
