For the Snakes and Ladders Challenge using Seamus Finnigan and the Represent that Character Challenge.
He spent so many seemingly endless days contemplating leaving. He had no clue where he'd go, but Seamus wasn't sure how much longer he could stay at Hogwarts. He felt the familiar school he'd once known was seeping away from him, growing farther apart every day under reign of the Carrows and Snape.
He hadn't heard anything from Dean all year—that was good news, he supposed. No news was good news, Dean would surely still be alive, but that didn't soften the gaping hole in his heart.
He tried to be strong and show off that Gryffindor bravery he started to doubt he possessed. But he had to force himself to be someone to look up to. Neville, Luna, and Ginny couldn't do it all on their own.
He wasn't even sure the war would ever end. Even if it did, he wasn't sure how he'd tell. Surely, at this point, all hope was lost. Voldemort would take over—he was already nearly there, with Hogwarts and the whole of the Ministry under his control. The only thing keeping him from taking complete power was the sliver of still-burning hope in the hearts of those strong enough to try and hold him back.
And he wasn't going to make it an easy fight for Voldemort.
