It was late in the afternoon in Washington D.C. At NCIS Abby Sciuto was in her office thinking about recent events. It had been about a week since Gibbs left Ziva in Israel. Abby realized that she, Tony, and Gibbs had been a team since the beginning. People had come and gone over the years but the three of them have never left each other's side. Abby's thoughts were interrupted when Tony walked in.
"Hey Abbs, what are you doing?" He asked.
"Nothing, just thinking." Abby replied.
"About what?" Tony asked as he sat down on a chair next to Abby's desk. Abby sighed as she took her fists off her chin and moved them into her lap.
"About everything. Ziva, Gibbs, You, McGee…" She trailed off because she didn't know how to explain her feelings.
"Are you okay?" Tony asked.
"I don't know. I did realize something though."
"And what was that?"
"That you, me and Gibbs have always been a team. We've lost and met people over the years, but the three of us have always been together." She said. Tony leaned back in his chair and thought for a second about what Abby said. He looked back at her and said,
"Yeah we have." Tony and Abby didn't know it, but Gibbs just walked into Abby's lab. He stood against the wall next to Abby's office and listened to her and Tony talk. "I have really bad relationships with my family, so in a sense you guys are my real family." Tony said.
"I know what you mean. My parents passed away a while ago but I still really love them. I still have my little brother, Luca though. He's pretty awesome."
"Technically I still have my dad, but we don't get along to well. Honestly Gibbs has always felt like a dad to me. He's like the dad I never had."
"Gibbs is like a dad to me too." Abby said.
"You're like a little sister to me." Tony said with a smile on his face. Abby smiled back at him and said,
"You're like an immature older brother to me." Tony laughed and said,
"Sounds like I do have a pretty good family after all. I have you as my awesome little sister and Gibbs as my awesome dad." Gibbs was still standing near Abby's office listening to their conversation. He smiled and walked into the room to join the conversation. Abby saw Gibbs coming in, but didn't say anything. Tony didn't see Gibbs coming in because he was looking at Abby. Gibbs walked up behind Tony and put his hand on Tony's shoulders which made him jump and look up. Abby laughed at him.
"You guys are like kids to me." Gibbs said. Abby smiled as she got up from her chair and said,
"I love you guys! Group hug!" Tony got up from his chair and hugged Abby and Gibbs. Gibbs didn't hold back. He gladly joined the group hug with people he considered his family too.
