Chapter One
Dean sat in the driver's seat of the Impala as he and Sam practically flew down I-83 leaving Pennsylvania for North Carolina.
"Finally, some peace and quiet." Dean started as Sam went over notes and their dad's journal, "I mean, I like hunting things, but even we need a vacation. Plus, it's spring break. Heck, you might even score while we're down there."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Sam asked looking up from the paperwork strewn across his lap and the passenger-side car floor.
"I don't know, you're always in those notes." Dean started, "Nothing new has come up lately, no calls for our services, no sudden reopening of cases. I just think we both need a break."
"Alright, fine." Sam said as he pulled all the papers together and shut them in the journal, "Fine, if I score the first few nights we're in the Outer Banks, we can stay for a while."
"Hahaha, that's my boy." Dean said as he patted Sam on the back.
A few hours later, Sam lay asleep in the hotel room a few blocks from the bridge out onto the islands.
Suddenly, a dream started…
In the dream, Sam was standing in a huge castle, with a crest hanging on a large banner nearby. He looked down the hall and saw three kids running in slow motion; one guy had glasses and jet black hair, another guy had ginger hair and was kinda scrawny, the last was a girl with dirty blonde hair mid-length hair.
The kids ran past Sam and almost right behind them was a being in a dark cloak that literally flew as it followed the kids, who couldn't have been older than sixteen. The cloaked thing reached out a long hand with fingers to match and pulled the lead kid back and began to suck his soul out.
The other two kids started screaming for help before they raised what looked like wands, simultaneously said a spell and two animal shaped lights jumped from their wands and attacked the cloaked being. But it was too late, Glasses was dead.
Then Sam woke in a cold sweat, he turned on the bedside light and started drawing everything he could remember.
"Sam, you alright?" Dean asked as he slowly woke from the sudden light.
"Not sure." Sam said as he continued to draw and write notes from the dream, "I had another nightmare."
"What happened?" Dean asked, suddenly wide awake.
Sam explained everything he could remember as he finished drawing and writing down the details.
"Do you recognize this crest?" Sam asked as he held up one of the drawings.
Dean took the drawing and looked at it. The crest was shaped like a shield, had an H in the middle and had one animal in each corner - a snake, a lion, a raven and a badger.
"Sam, this is the crest of Hogwarts...from Harry Potter." Dean said as he slowly handed the notepad back to Sam.
Sam looked at the notepad, then looked at Dean.
"I'm telling you what I saw, man." Sam said trying to defend his sanity, "I'm not making any of this up, I saw - I guess - Harry in danger as if I was seeing someone in Indiana about to be killed by a vampire."
Dean looked at Sam, then at the notepad, then at the hotel TV.
"Well, you've never been wrong before." Dean said after a pause, "But the Potter series happens in England, how are we even gonna get over there?"
"We'll need to fly to get there as soon as possible." Sam said as he started to pack his stuff.
"No, no way." Dean said as he stood from his bed.
"Dean, I don't know how, but there is a life on the line." Sam said, "We have never let one of my visions go, we can't start now."
"Sam, I am not getting on a plane." Dean said.
Sam thought for a second.
"Fine, I'll take a plane and you can take a ferry all the way or something." Sam said as he zipped up his bag and headed reached the door.
"Hang on." Dean said as Sam touched the doorknob, "God, I hate this. I'll get us two tickets, and I'll be able to get all our stuff through customs."
"Are you gonna want the car over there?" Sam asked.
"I'd prefer to have it over there, but we'll have to leave it with Bobby. I'm taking the keys with me though, no one drives her but me...and my brother." Dean said as he finished packing his things.
After eight hours of buying tickets, customs and the flight itself, the boys touched down in London.
"Where to from here?" Sam asked as they left the airport.
"Not sure. I thought you'd know, college boy." Dean teased.
Just as Sam was about to respond, he noticed how dark the afternoon sky had gotten. Then, all at once, a group of the cloaked things that had attacked Harry in Sam's dream burst from one of the clouds and started swarming down on the airport. People began to run around screaming for their lives as the cloaked beings swarmed through the crowds as if looking for something or someone.
As one of them passed the Winchesters, Sam felt the air around him drop at least ten degrees. Then, the thing turned around and seemed to look right at Sam. It started to advance, but Dean was a lot faster and drew hand-held shotgun with rock salt already loaded. He fired on the cloaked being and, to both their surprise, the salt actually disintegrated the being.
"What the hell was that?!" Dean asked as the brothers looked at the pile of ash that now lay on the ground.
"That, my friends, was a Dementor." Said a man behind them.
The two turned to see a man with a long silver beard, half-moon glasses, and what seemed to be a silvery-purple cloak over a dark purple and white suit.
"I don't know who you two are, but you better come with me immediately." The man said before grabbing on to each of their shoulders and the three of them simply vanished from that spot.
