Hello. I decided to do this because I was bored. Goodbye - Amie.
Luna Lovegood was perched on the edge of her seat, pondering about everything that just happened.
She was still in shock, and frankly, to be honest, staring at the deceased wasn't helping.
She blinked back tears. She didn't like crying. She felt weak. She wasn't a Gryffindor, but she didn't like showing weakness nevertheless.
She power walked away from her Hogwarts House table. She didn't like looking at it anymore. Too many bad memories swirling round and round in her head.
As she walked to her common room, she wondered if there was any common room left. She'd find out, she supposed.
She seen Harry and Ginnys spectacle in The Great Hall earlier, like everyone else, and it made her feel better. Like there was some hope for some love in this bruised world.
On the subject of love, there'd been quite a lot of it in the castle lately. Couples embracing on the stairs, hugging relatives, handshakes of equality being shared...
Truthfully, Luna felt left out.
Luna had never had someone to love. And the bad thing was, she had a weakness for it. A weakness for love. A longing.
Her Mum had died long ago. They say nothing is stronger than maternal love. That was lost with her. She hadn't seen her Dad in a long time. She was craving the sweet love.
Of course, there was Neville. Ah, Neville.
She truly did like Neville. He was such a kind hearted, brave soul. Nothing like the insensitive bullies she used to deal with.
Luna was just reaching the Ravenclaw Common room when she heard a conversation. Or, uh, noises.
Ron and Hermione were on the stairs, just above her, snogging each others brains out.
Luna felt a pang of jealousy. Why couldn't she have that? What was wrong with her? Was she ugly? Luna didn't know. She rushed into the common room, without much interference, apart from the door, which gave her advice, and let her through without the need of answering a brain teaser.
The common room was mostly untouched. Luna was thankful it was empty too. She slid down the wall, completely shattered. She couldn't live like this anymore. She needed somebody. Somebody like Neville.
Luna stood up. Filled with determination, she set out to find Neville. Where could he be?
