A Subway Surprise

Your name is Nate. You feel like you could soar through the clouds and hike Twist Mountain twenty times because you just might have met the girl of your dreams. She's downright beautiful, inside and out. She's classy, spunky and perfect in every way.

Her name is Rosa. And you've fallen head over heels for her.

Your stay in Nimbasa trying to see her again still remains fruitless. You check the amusement parks, the musicals, the sports courts and the battle subways every day, hoping to at least get another glance at her beauty. Sometimes you even ask around. ("Excuse me, but you haven't seen a girl around my height, brown hair in two buns, yellow shorts and a t-shirt with a Pokeball on it, have you?")

Why didn't you ask for Xtransceiver number? One simple question that coul have had you linked to her for an eternity. As far as you're concerned, she might not even be in Nimbasa anymore. Now that would be your worst nightmare. (But you still think positive, she can't possibly leave you!)

To douse your sorrows, you decide to take a stab at the Multi-Train Subway, taking your mind off of finding your brunette maiden. Upon entering the subway platform, your ears perk up at the sound of a familiar voice.

"Sorry ma'am, I'm afraid we can't let you on this train without a partner. There's a mighty deal of partners here, why don't you ask around first?"

The female grunts. "I'm not comfortable teaming up with someone I don't know..."

"Ah, I see. But isn't it great to make friends?"

The conversation trails on, and you rush down the stairs. Your eyes glow at the sight of the girl―it's Rosa!

"Rosa!" You yell, running towards her.

She turns around, and gives a smile and a wave. "Nate!"

You blush a little before clearing your throat. "So... ah... I heard your dilemma with finding a partner and I... couldn't help but wonder... do you mind if I were to be your partner?" You pull on your collar and shuffle your feet, wondering is she can even see the red that's on your cheek.

Rosa's eyes widen, and she leans towards you for a hug. You're a little surprised at first, but then comfortably wrap your arms around her as well. "Of course, Nate! I'd love it if you were my partner!"

She realizes that she's still hugging you, and quickly lets go and smooths her hair. "Well, we wouldn't want to waste time, now would we? C'mon, let's get on the train quickly!"

A soft chuckle escapes your mouth, and you can't help but smile. And frankly, you don't care that your whole face is red, because if it's for Rosa, anything can stay. You start sprinting to the subway, not wanting to lose sight of her.

You wonder when the day will come that you'll confess your love to her (and maybe she will say it back). But right now, having some fun on the battle subway wouldn't hurt.

You've fallen in love with Rosa.

And it's the best damn feeling ever.
