I got into a fight with a new guy today. I damn near beat him to death. But then, I was about to deliver a powerful blow, and he caught and crushed my God damn hand! He's stronger than he looks! But damn it, if it's the last thing I do, I'll get him back.
The guy, named Lennie, arrived today along with his buddy George. Lennie's a gigantic, dumb guy. The nerve of 'im! He'd better learn to speak when he's spoken to. Specially when the boss's son's the one talking to him.
George's a small guy, or at least by comparison. He'd better take the time and teach Lennie some common sense.
Today's just not my day. Not only did I lose a fight to a colossal idiot, but I haven't seen my wife at all today! If I didn't know any better, I'd think she was ignoring me.

Tonight was a pretty good night. Me and the guys went to Susy's place as usual. But this time, we brought the new guy George. He's actually got himself a nice sense of humor. He hasn't caused me any trouble yet, but I still gotta keep an eye on 'im. I still ain't over what his pal did to me.
After we got back, I heard Lennie and Candy were talking with Crooks in his room. What the hell is up with those guys?
Anyway, today wasn't anything special. I'm just gonna turn in for the night.

Today, that son-of-a-bitch Lennie got what he deserved. But not before he made a huge mistake.
The guys and I were playing a game of horseshoes, and Candy comes running out of the barn. He says something's wrong with my wife. We all go running towards the barn, while I wonder what the hell could've happened to her.
We hurry inside, and in a pile of hay, I see my poor wife lying there.
I find out she's dead and that Lennie done it to her. He ran off with Carlson's Luger.
We chase after him, knowing he was armed and dangerous. The guys and I find George and Lennie. George somehow got there first and shot the bastard. I'm frustrated I didn't get to do it myself, but surprised that he'd done that to his own companion.
But only after I got back to the ranch and my anger subsided did I realize truly how miserable I was. I burst into tears after making sure there weren't no other guys around.
May that God damn son-of-a-bitch burn in hell.
