Colour Coded

Underneath clouds of dark black,

Mankind makes its last attack.

Marching over barren ground.

Soil a sickly shade of brown.

...

Zero-One is what they're marching to,

No sight of sky above, so blue.

No pinkish skin from sunlight's glare,

But a bitter taste is on the air.

...

But they stop, faces a pale white.

All eyes are wide at looming sight.

Machines look back with eyes so red,

That fill the humans' hearts with dread.

...

Steel tears through flesh in ways obscene.

Blood feeds the earth no longer green.

New clouds form nearby, in plumes of grey,

But the machines' advance cannot be swayed.

...

All around burns yellow fire.

As machines let loose long repressed ire.

Bullets, shells, tear through their chrome.

But far more blood falls upon stone.

...

None can withstand the horde of grey.

As any foe the machines slay.

No colour left within this place,

The graveyard of the human race.

A/N

Little challenge to write a ditty using a colour every other sentence. Course I really stretched the definition of that challenge, but hey, this is The Matrix. Just be greatful I used colours other than green. :P
