Matchmaker Cupid

Disclaimer: They're not mine to own!

a/n: I'm a Brucas/Naley/Jeyton fan! Completely AU! Kind of got the idea from 'Matchmaker Santa'… it was a cute hallmark movie (: I was wondering what happened to Lacey Chabert (Gretchen 'Mean Girls), I really liked her as an actress and I always thought she was pretty! Anyways, I'm rambling (:

Summary: A wish to Cupid on Valentine's Day as a little girl, comes true in her twenties…

Chapter One—Cupid Wish

Valentine's Day was a day was not appreciated as much as it used to be. It became an American holiday where guys felt that it was something they had to do to show that they were "loved".

Ted Davis walked into the four bedroom mansion, in a suit, tie, and with a briefcase in hand. He smiled as he was greeted with the heavenly smell of cookies. "Where are my favorite girls?" he asked.

"In the kitchen," Victoria Davis called.

Ted smiled, and placed his briefcase on the floor. He headed to the kitchen, and saw his daughter lightly covered in flour, and his wife placing a bowl in the sink. "Well, there's my lovely girls," he said.

"Daddy, I baked cookies," Eight year old Brooke Davis said smiling proudly.

"And it smells so good," he said as she ran to him and hugged him.

"Ask her what the secret ingredient is," Victoria said as the timer went off, and she put on the dish mittens. She opened the oven, and pulled out the baking sheet.

"What's the secret ingredient baby?" Ted asked his daughter.

She smiled sweetly, and swayed side to side with her play dress. "It's a secret daddy," she said.

He chuckled as Victoria placed the cookies on the counter.

She carefully scooped the spatula under the cookies to separate them from the foil.

Ted reached over, and took a bite into it. "Mm, this is so great," he said.

"I'm glad you like it daddy," Brooke said as Victoria handed her a cookie. "Thanks mom," she said biting into it.

He chuckled, "I always like what you bake my love," he said tapping her nose. She smiled.

"Brooke dear, why don't you go get ready for dinner?" Victoria said as the timer went off again.

"Okay mom," Brooke said skipping away. Unknowingly to her parents, Brooke returned peeking from the corner of the kitchen.

Ted had his waist around Victoria, and he pecked her lips. "How did I ever get so lucky?" he asked.

She smiled, "We both are," she said. "Thank you for giving me a gorgeous daughter."

He laughed, "She is all you Victoria," he said.

She smiled watching the exchange.

"Happy Valentine's Day," she said smiling.

"Happy Valentine's Day my love," he responded.

She quickly turned, and ran up the stairs. She grabbed paper, and a pencil, and began scribbling.

Dear Cupid,

I know you're busy this time of year. Helping couples fall in love, and fulfilling their lives. I don't know if you'd hear me, or be able to grant me my wish. My wish….is to find my one true love, just like my mom found my dad.

Thank You

Brooke Davis

Brooke put her pencil down, and re-read her letter. She picked it up, and smiled. She folded it, and ran to her dresser. She quickly pulled out a box, and placed it neatly along with little things she collected. "One day," she whispered.

Little did she know, her wish was being heard by a little flying cupid. He smiled as she looked at the picture she had of her parents on her nightstand.

"Brooke," her mother called.

Brooke quickly looked towards the door, and ran into the bathroom to change.
