The rain came down and the winds blew. Many a rain has come to the Mushroom Kingdom. Nothing was new about rain but, it was always there when it wanted to be, and never said a word. Rain was soothing to some and frightful for others. However, for Mario, rain had a way of telling him that adventure was close by. Of course, rain falls everywhere, not just on one planet. Mobius has had its share of rain too. Of course, Sonic never liked the rain. "It was always too wet" he thought. But, this story isn't about rain on two planets. It's about what happens after the storm.
It was a bright day in the Mushroom Kingdom. The rain had stopped and the grass was wet. It almost felt like the whole world was new. Of course, Mario does what he always does in the morning, visit Princess Peach. Mario had always love visiting his beloved. It gave him joy to see her in the morning. However today, things seemed different on his small walk. Normally, Toads would be in a small hustle and bustle, playing around or just relaxing, but all there was left, was a silent empty shell of Toad Town. Mario, being the hero he is, decided to end his leisurely stroll in place of a quick sprint towards the castle. He rushed along in good time, only to find where all the missing Toads went. In a huge crowd right in front of the castle. However, the only clue to point him to clarity was a huge telescope on top of the castle. But before an idea slipped into his mind, the voice of an angel called out him "Mario, please, come quick!" So, with the skill any more than a parkour expert, Mario managed to get on top. "Mario, you must come and see this fascinating new discovery." Peach said. Mario smiled, ready to do what the monarch had requested, but was greeted by an old friend in use of the device. E. Gadd smiled in surprise "Mario, so nice of you to come. I see you're here to find out this intriguing new discovery." Mario nodded. "So if you would so kindly sit down, I will show you what I have found. Ah yes, there." Mario sat down and focused in on with the telescope. What he saw, was breathtaking. "So you see it?" E. Gadd continued "We have discovered a brand new planet."
Sonic wasn't one to wait around long. His morning routine was mostly running anywhere he could get his feet too. He would zoom across Angel Island Zone, run right past the Emerald Zone, and maybe grab a bite to eat. But today was really different. Normally after getting up, he'd just run, but he had received some news from his buddy Tails, and being the respectful friend he is, he dashed on over. Of course, not after running around the world a couple of times. As for Tails, he knew enough about his pal Sonic for him to wait until he was getting back from his third loop. However, the news was pretty big, at least big enough to contact all his friends about it. Which speaking of, Sonic was just about to arrive. "Hey lil' buddy!" The sly hedgehog said "What was it when you said that you had something to show me?" The two tailed fox smiled "Not quite yet Sonic, we still have to wait for the rest of our friends to get her too, y'know." And almost like magic, they all started coming in the door. Of course, people started to ask questions, to which the young fox only replied, "Just hold up a moment." And surely enough, a small buzz sound went through the monitors and a screen popped up for all to see. The fox started "Last night I was messing around with my satellite, when the storm scared me into accidentally punching in these quadrants." Sonic, while a nice guy, getting a little impatient spoke up "Well, that's great and all buddy, but why did you call us out here anyway?" Tails only replied in excitement "I've discovered a new planet!"
