Praise Him Like There's No Tomorrow

During TLT for Percy and Post-TATM for The Doctor and River. Percy is fighting the Minotaur on Half-Blood Hill when he asks himself the big question. What's the point of life?

I rolled, dodging the minotaur as it chased me.

My first instinct was to run away from it but it had killed my mom, anything that did that deserved death. I backed up against a tree and yelled to him "Hey Beef Boy, I'm over here!" It swivelled its head towards me and charged. I jumped at the last second, using his horns to propel me. I turned midair and landed on the minotaurs back.

I was about to rip off its horn when I realised how futile it was. Even if I survived this who knew what would become of me? With my mom dead I'd probably be living with Gabe which didn't really sound appealing. So I jumped off of the Minotaur's back and sat on the ground. He sniffed angrily and turned around.

"Praise Him," I said as the Minotaur lunged at me and the world faded to black around me.
