She fell to her knees and weakly wiped sweat from her face. She swallowed the vomit back down her throat. Her breathing came shallowly. Her green eyes focused onto her arm, which appeared to be turning transparent.

The man let out a deep, booming laugh. "Kids Next Door are no more for at least two generations." His chuckle seemed to echo in her head, which pounded painfully.

'What does he mean, two generations? He's only destroying my team . . .' The answer to her question seemed to materialize in her head. 'Were my parents in the Kids Next Door?'

She glanced at her seemingly ordinary watch on her wrist. 'Thanks, Numbuh 32,' She thought gratefully, then realized that if she failed, there would be no Numbuh 32, no team.

'There won't be a me!' she realized.

Wordlessly, she hit the button on her wrist and jolted upright. The room spun around her until it disappeared al together.

Her head felt as if it was about to explode. The pain was unbearable.

She fell onto the soft bed and lay still. She rubbed her head, trying to massage away the pain. Oh well, she knew this was probably a side affect of time traveling over 20 years into the past.
