Hi guys, this is just a little opening chapter if the reviews come in ill post the next chapter up tomorrow. For some reason I love Banshee... haha anyway, disclaimer I don't own anything.
The summer night was unbearably warm, the two boys were both lying on their respective beds wearing boxers and nothing else. The room was silent apart from the clicking of the ceiling fan clicking back and forward. Sean's muscles were in pain after fall after fall in today's training. It was time to get his mind of his aches. He turned his body around to face Alex.
"Jesus Havok, why is so hot in here, do you radiate heat or something" Sean huffed. The annoyance in his voice was very apparent.
"Yeah Banshee it's somehow my fault that its 43 degrees outside. I know you think I'm hot but I don't radiate heat buddy."Alex replied with a smirk.
"Yeah nah, you're the one who was checking my abs out before. Why couldn't we have the power of ice that would be cool" chuckled Sean.
"Stop with your lame puns, seriously. This is why you don't get girls" Alex joked.
"Hey, I get girls. I mean I have the power to vibrate with my voice if you know what I mean. What about you Alex does your power drive the girls crazy" Sean said while laughing. The truth was though that Sean didn't have relationships, he couldn't let his guard down enough. As soon as the words left his mouth he regretted it. Alex's face went from joking and warm to stony, he'd hit a nerve.
"You didn't hear did you Sean? Well I suppose that means Charles kept my secret. Do you want to know where my girlfriend is at the moment? She is in an intensive care unit, burns all over her body, hasn't woken up because of me and my power. There's a reason I kept myself in solitary confinement."
The mood in the room was stiff and awkward, the two boys had only known each other a few weeks, but a brotherhood was forming they still didn't know each other.
"I don't know if you want to talk about it, but what happened Alex?" Sean asked cautiously. Alex sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
"It was meant to be our night, our first time. But when we were about to uh start, I wreaked havoc. Nobody blames me because nobody but me knew what happened. I tried to live life but things just got worse." Alex whispered with his eyes closed.
"I'm sorry mate" Sean said.
"Don't worry I've learnt to deal with it" Alex said.
"Hate to be rude but does that mean we are the same playing field when it comes to the ladies?" Sean mused.
"If you are a virgin then yes suppose it does" Alex said suspiciously.
Now both boys have a competitive nature, and Sean was already forming a plan in his mind.
"How bout we go hunting?" he said with a mischievous grin.
"Like a competition? I'm not sure Sean" Alex said dubiously.
"A little but I think it would be good to get out of the house for a while" Sean stated.
"Yeah alright then but I should warn you, I'm hot. Some people have even accused me of radiating heat" Alex agreed.
Both boys laughed, and rested back down on their pillows. Soon the games would commence and Sean couldn't help but think that it was good to have a friend in the house.
