A/N: Please be nice, I don't like writing sad/serious stuff. Just thought to give it try. I apologize for the grammar, OpenOffice doesn't seem to have this pesky thing called grammar check. And... is it sappy? I apologize for that too vv

His mother had always said it was imposible to give life into statues. His father told him it was unscientific, not to mention, quite silly, to even try to think of a way to give them life.

Roy Mustang never knew as to why he was so intrigued by them. His mother was an artist, a sculptor, and he often remembered asking as to why she didn't make them move.

Why she didn't make them to live, be useful.

Bakit nga ba ganoon?

Then he met someone resembling to one.

A statue.

Isang statua. Walang buhay.

She was beautiful, much too beautiful to his dismay. "Colonel." She called out to him as she usually does everyday since they had met each other. (the only thing that probably changed was his rank, he laughed to himself) "It's cold, you should go warm yourself inside." She said, almost lifelessly.

Nakakatuwa talaga siya.

He had always wondered as to how she could manage to have the same composure, every single day, even up to now when they were in grave danger, and the littlest of a glance could mean something to them.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, lifelessly as well. He wanted to smile, he wanted to show her he was happy to see her, but he couldn't. He couldn't muster up the strength to do so. It was really pathetic as to how the Flame Alchemist felt so little in front of her, "Shouldn't you be-?"

"It's my break." She grinned sheepishly.

Oo nga naman, kung gusto mo, palaging may paraan.

He felt himself smile as well. "You didn't bring my coat."

"You're old enough to bring a coat whenever you go out, Colonel." She smiled as she handed him the spare military-issued coat she herself had hanged on the coat rack. Roy Mustang really did wonder as to why he didn't see her bring that.

Nangungulila ako sa iyo.

"Thank you." He smiled as he wore the coat, and visions of his painful present predicament flashed right through him. "You should go back."

"You sound like you don't want to see me." She waved a piece of paper he had mysteriously managed to smuggle inside her new office. It was rather silly, not to mention, reckless, but she did like the thought.

All it said was 'Hey.'

Nangungulila ako sa mga araw noong magkasama pa tayo.

"I just wanted to see whether you were still alive." He smirked.

As much as she hated to admit it, she did miss those smirks (and his perverted glances), and the pathetic part was they had only been separated for three days. "Obviously sir, I am. Really sir, you've become so paranoid."

Maghulos-dili ka. Aayos rin ang lahat.

She had decided to go back inside, noticing that it had already been five minutes, and she did need to eat her lunch, when he had grabbed her by the arm and pressed his lips softly against hers. "I will get you back..." She heard him whisper.

"Please be careful." She said as he left him once more on the cold grounds of Amestris Central Headquarters.

Paki-usap, mag-iingat ka.
