A/N: Remember my one-shot "Ridiculous remarks and crazy thoughts"? Well, some people asked for a sequel so I started writing it but I didn't like it... Today I was bored and I reread it, and suddenly I thought... "Why didn't I liked it?" =)
"Do you know what day it is, today?"
"Huh?" she put her cell-phone away from her ear, cursing herself in her head for never checking the ID before answering. She groaned.
"Today it's our fifteenth anniversary!" Derek exclaimed happily, causing her to groan again, more annoyed.
"No it's not!"
"Yes it is, Addie."
"You're all wrong here, Derek. Today it's not our anniversary. Why is it raining?" she yelled then, as she closed the door of her house and got in the car.
"Isn't LA supposed to be all sunny and shiny?"
"Shut up! I hate rain! You know I hate rain! It's your damn fault I hate rain!" she shouted.
Derek ignored her. "How do you feel about me coming there to celebrate out fifteenth anniversary, sweetheart?"
"Stop annoying Addison! Forgive him Addie, he's all insane and a PAIN IN THE ASS because Meredith dumped him, since all he could talk about was you." Mark told her, before the line went dead.
What?
Addison thought about it all day long. She couldn't get over the fact that, for once, she was apparently the one who forgot. She had the right to, though. They'd been divorced for three years. He was with another woman. Was.
Hold on we're gonna make it if it takes all night
Hearts racing like a rocket at the speed of light
Don't fight it we've been running for far too long
We're going back where we belong
So hold on we got our wings and we're chasing the wind
Farewell to all the places that we have been
And if it takes us all night long
We're going back where we belong
Probably, it was just because it was their fifteenth anniversary. Because of that, they were having a connection. So they both remembered the best moments they kept in their 'memories box'. They both daydreamed about the future, wondering 'what could've been'. They both booked a flight to New York (without talking to each other, of course) and got there in what seemed an infinitive amount of time. They both used the excuse of a conference, although nor Mark nor Naomi believed them. Once in The City the both rented a car and drove fast to the brownstone, and when Derek saw the lights on he thanked God (and Mark) for the call he made to her.
"Hey there sweetie."
She glared at him. "I could kill you."
"Yeah, well." he took off his shirt. "Don't."
