Second story in one night. Goodness, I must be craving it. This is in Second Person, which is actually a fun POV to write. I apologize for any mistakes, and I do hope this sounds...in character? Please, enjoy!

Look at you. Bluer than blue. Faithful and true. Bigger on the inside. Yes, look at you, smiling at yourself – though, to others it's really a louder hum than usual, not so much to draw too much attention to yourself, but enough for them to notice – feeling the comfort of new feet walking down your corridors, new laughter filling your rooms.

You might chuckle to yourself in delight. You love this. You love extending your mind into your potential passengers. A tiny bit of your soul nestling into them as you awaken their need, their thirst, for adventure. Yes, they credit the Doctor to that, and you let them. But it's really you.

You are the one who called for a young Time Lord to come along with you. You are the one who wrapped his two hearts in an unquenchable yearning for the stars. You whispered in his ear the art of running. And he listened. You stole him away for your own keeping. And he let you, though he constantly fills his mind with knowledge that it was his own doing. How you smile fondly at his thinking.

Here, in the comfort of you, he has had so many adventures. Yes, the Doctor and his TARDIS (though you know it's the TARDIS and her Doctor) have become notorious in universe for their deeds – whether good or bad as percieved by those witness to them.

Yet, not even you were enough company for the Doctor. But you don't mind, do you? No, you rather like having extra voices, who sometimes sync in rhythm of your thoughts and ask questions of the Doctor that help him explain himself. You know he would be terribly out of his mind if he only ever rambled on to himself without needing to explain things well.

And while you help out by wrapping them in the sense of adventure, you don't always get the pretty ones. Yes, you know what he thinks of as pretty, but you certainly have a different definition (if Rule One is that the Doctor lies, then Rule Zero is that the TARDIS lies).

Yes, you lie. So often. You lie to your dear thief, letting him think he knows exactly where he's going, and yet taking him to somewhere else entirely. Who needs Rio when a family in a family in Wales needs the Doctor and his companions?

And yet, like his own companions, the Doctor looks beyond the lies and continues to trust you. And you, like your thief to his companions, continues to love him.

Yes, look at you. Bluer than blue. Faithful and true. Bigger on the inside. You sexy thing.

I will be the first to admit that I hate the term "sexy," as it is overused and tends to be more of a term of degradation, in my opinion. But, it so amused me in "The Doctors Wife," that I simply had to use it. :)
