It was a rather normal day at Rikkai Dai; tennis practice was going as scheduled. Everyone was stretching themselves, ready to begin the training. Yukimura and Sanada, the captain and the vice captain respectively, were watching the others stretching, seeing if they were going to follow the training schedule or if some strange happening (usually crafted by Niou) was going to happen.
Akaya, the second year ace, intently observed Yagyuu. His serious face bordered, no, passed the curiosity, making Jackal look at the junior rather worriedly. When Akaya was curious, Niou would often intercept his question and distort the truth. After the stretching was done, Akaya paced, no, almost ran over to Yagyuu to satisfy his curiosity.
"Yagyuu-senpai! I got a question for you," said Akaya as he approached the Gentleman.
Yagyuu turned and looked down at the younger tennis player. His glasses still looked opaque, like they always did.
"Why can't we see your eyes through your glasses?"
Yagyuu kept quiet for a second, thinking of a plausible explanation for the meta-physical phenomenon that kept his eyes hidden behind the actually thin lens of the glasses. Niou had been nearby and heard the question of the curious second-year. With a sly grin, he crept up to the two, ready to create some kind of mischief.
"Yagyuu is a spy Akaya," replied Niou, non-chalantly.
The seaweed-haired boy blinked once, twice; his brain slowly digesting the (false) information.
"You serious senpai?" asked Akaya, incredulously.
"Why wouldn't I be serious? His eyes are always hidden behind his glasses because he's always receiving new information about his current mission."
"Does it also have X-Ray senpai?"
Niou blinked. Did Akaya just ask him that?
"Yes, it does."
Akaya's eyes widened like saucers as he looked to Yagyuu and back to Niou. He seemed to have believed of Niou had said. His plan of deceiving the lower classman's mind was complete.
"Caaaaaaaaaptaaaain!" yelled Akaya, running away from the duo.
Niou was attempting to stifle his laughter while Yagyuu remained quiet, simply readjusting his glasses. Yagyuu mentally sighed.
Why did he leave the golf club again?
Author's Notes: This is the reason why I shouldn't get my hands on a laptop at 3:00 AM, after a long flight and talking to one of my forum friends. I'm not even sure anymore how I got the idea for this drabble.
