Meh, I just decided to make a quick story for Halloween. It's nothing serious, really. Well, enjoy.

1. Well, lets begin...

Emerald eyes looked up in a excitement.

Man, did this house look cool or what?

Old wrinkled trees surrounding the building, making it hard to see or even make it to the house? A cemetery on each side of the house with lonesome tombstones? The harsh wind blowing at the ground, not only carrying the dead leaves but creating an almost dreadful moan of some sort. But the house itself was what caught his attention. It was huge. Some windows were shattered, while others somehow managed to stay in tact. Moss had long since grown on the sides of the house, along with the wood splintering and paint peeling off the roof. Some bricks were missing while slight fog roamed around the front-yard, giving off an unnatural and mysterious feeling. All in all, the house was quite a terrifying sight to look at...

...Yep, this was going to be a fun adventure...

Grinning from ear to ear, Sonic glanced over to Tails, who was currently typing away on his MilesElectric.

Tails, having sensed he was being watched, slowly took his eyes away from his beloved device to meet Sonic's grin. He shuddered. Though, to see the hedgehog grin was normal, the way the fog faded by his face and with the moonlight lighting his features brought an eerie feeling to Tails. It was just creepy and unsettling.

"Please don't grin like that," he started as he tried to hide another shudder, "you remind me of Jeff the Killer."

Sonic chuckled half heartedly. "Sorry about that. I guess I can't wait to head inside and look around."

"You mean 'run around'." Tails corrected matter-of-factly.

Sonic grinned as he rubbed his nose with an index finger. "Yeah, pretty much."

Tails sighed, as if expecting the answer. "Just don't get too carried away. We're here for the emerald, remember?" Though, he wasn't too thrilled to be here, Tails knew this was important. Earlier that day, he felt like something was going to happen. He didn't know why, but he guess it was just some kind of instinct. And his instinct was proven correct when his Emerald-Radar went nuts. Soon after that, he quickly learned that there was an emerald just inside a house not too far away from Hang Castle. Ugh, just thinking about that place brought back haunting memories he'd rather not remember. Although, how the glowing object ended up in the house in the first place was still a mystery to the fox. Anyway, so after seeking Sonic, who instantly agreed to come, the two set off toward their required location. They made it there in only an hour thanks to the Tornado II. (Though, Sonic did complain that they could've simply traveled there on foot.)

So here they were now, standing in front of the very house with the emerald inside.

Tails was interrupted from his thoughts when he heard a loud beep. He glanced down at his MilesElectric, only to see a green arrow pointing north. He sighed. Well, they had a job to do.

"Come on," he said, starting to walk up the steps to the porch, "lets start searching for the Chaos Emerald"

Sonic grinned."I'm right behind ya, buddy."

Once the two were standing side by side, Sonic made the move. Forming a fist in his right hand, the hedgehog gave the door a good knock...

And I'm gonna end it there for now. So how was it? If you like it or think it's okay, then don't worry. More will come soon. I'm going to try to finish this quick story before Halloween Day. Please R&R!
