Chapter 1: Don't tell Bella

Sam POV

"We have to tell her." I sighed. I couldn't just let that slip. I still didn't know what I wanted to do about the whole situation. Seth informed me after Paul and Bella cut the cake.

"Sam." The boy came up to me with a worried expression on his face. I immediately pulled him to the side, taking a quick glance at Paul to make sure we wouldn't make him suspicious. "What is it Seth?" He was breathing heavy and sweat glistened on his forehead. "Come with me. We have a problem." I let him pull me towards the forest and he led me to a short pathway. "Smell anything?" He asked and I took a deep breath. I shook my head and looked around. "Should I?" I heard Seth sigh and shake his head. "Don't kill me for this okay? I couldn't bring myself to kill him." Before I could respond, Seth called out, "Come out Charlie." I heard a slight woosh and in front of me was Bella's father, with red eyes. "What the hell?" My body shook wanting to kill, but I also knew that this was a delicate situation. "Charlie? Who did this to you?" Charlie's red eyes settled on me. "I don't know. Remember when I was on that case down in Oregon? A vampire came along and killed my suspect, and then me. He must've thought I was dead. When I woke, I knew what I was as I recalled the legends from the tribe. I feed off of criminals." He explained. "Please don't tell Bella. I don't want her to know about vampires. I assume she knows about wolves yes?" I nodded slowly. "Well Charlie, Bella already knows about vampires. Remember The Cullens? They were vampires. Bella knew." If he was human, his face would've been red. His eyes darkened slightly and he growled lowly. I tensed ready to phase.

"So Edward was the reason for Bella's accident?" I cocked my head to the side. "What accident?" "The Phoenix accident. Where she fell down the stairs and broke her arm and leg?" Ah..he meant her scar. "Yes."

I looked at Charlie who was shifting nervously. "Is this okay? I know you don't let vampires on this land from what Seth told me." I shrugged because honestly, I was unsure. I couldn't let Bella go on thinking he was dead. From the way he was being around plenty of humans at the reception, he seemed to have exceptional control. I called Bella and Paul a few minutes ago. I Know he was pissed because from what I could hear, I ruined their "sex time". It's been a week since their wedding and I have hidden this so far. The only ones knowing are Seth and myself. He also seemed to have no scent which was eerie, but fitting since Charlie used to be a cop.

I could hear a car door slam and a grumbling Paul. I heard Bella's tinkling laugh. "Well he called right when I was about to bend you over the table and have my twisted little way with you." I face palmed and turned red glancing at Charlie who seemed even more uncomfortable than me. The door opened and Paul came in first, "What's so damn important where you had to stop the lovemaking with my wife? Holy shit." He stopped in the doorway staring upon Charlie and I could hear Bella trying to squeeze her way through to see what was going on. "Dad?" Her eyes roamed over Charlie and tears sprang to her eyes. She had the most saddened look on her face. "Oh daddy." She sighed and walked up to him slowly. Charlie stood and if he could cry, I knew he would be. "Hey baby girl." Despite his temperature and her size being four months pregnant, she flew into his arms hugging him tightly. "I've missed you so much." She cried and Paul seemed to snap himself out of his shock and look at me worriedly. I just shook my head.

The two stepped away and Bella's face was puffy and pink. "Let me get a good look at you." He held her at arms length and smiled. "Are you happy?" Bella nodded giving Paul a fond glance. Paul walked up to them and held her around the waist. "It's great to see you Chief. Despite under this circumstance." Charlie nodded and assessed Paul. "I like you better than Jake." Paul busted out laughing and just like that, his species didn't seem to bother us anymore. Most of that had to do with the fact that he had no scent.

"Well so do I." Charlie have a hearty laugh and it was eerie because he seemed so at ease. The only difference was the paler skin and the eyes. He looked the same. "So what's going to happen?" Bella asked glancing at me. I knew she was worries we would kill him and by our nature, we should have, but Charlie was like a father to all of us. "I don't know. We can make a treaty like we did for The Cullen's, a little different maybe, but that is all we can do. I need to speak with the council about it because I don't know if he could trigger a change. I also need to have a pack meeting to discuss the best option." Bella nodded and looked at her father once more. He was smiling down at her. He was still her father.

I left them alone and went to make a quick phone call to Old Quil.

AN: SO here is the first chapter. How do you feel about Charlie being a vampire and what do you think Old Quil would say? How would feel if I started a Seth and Bella story? Keep in mind, that if I do, Seth will not be considered the "kid" in my stories. He is very mature and his minimum age will be 16.
