This is a little rushed, but I was in a hurry to do this, because I nearly forgot to write a fic for Bansai's birthday. LOL
There was a knock on my door.
I looked at my front door, and I had a feeling it was Bansai, because…it was his birthday today. I grabbed his wrapped-up present, and hid it in my bedroom.
After that, I quickly went to the door, and opened it up, seeing Bansai.
He gave me a smile as he asked, "May I come in, Michiru?"
Smiling back, I nodded, "Yes, you may come in." I had my hands behind my back, fidgeting my fingers.
Bansai came into my house, and then took off his shoes. He followed me into the living room, and I thought, I'll need to wait a moment before I tell Bansai "Happy birthday".
Biting my lower lip, I decided to ask, "Bansai, are you hungry?"
He shook his head, "Not really, I daresay."
"Oh. Are you thirsty, then?"
"No."
I bit my lower lip once again. I didn't know what else to say to him. I didn't want to say "happy birthday" just yet, but nothing else was coming to my mind.
Suddenly, Bansai began to walk towards me. I blinked my blue eyes at him, and when he was close enough, he lifted his hand up, softly touching my cheek.
He gave me a gentle smirk as he asked, "Michiru…have you realized why I came over?"
A blush crept up my cheeks, but I responded without hesitation, "I did, actually."
"Oh? Why, then?" His smirk grew bigger.
"Bansai…" I said his name in a whisper. "…wait here for a moment."
He nodded at me before I turned around, going back to my room. As soon as I opened the door, I grabbed the small box, and ran out, not bothering to close the door.
I hid the present behind my back. I was in front of Bansai again, and Bansai raised a brow at me, probably wondering what was behind my back.
I narrowed my eyes, and then whispered, "I know it's not much, Bansai, but…" I lifted the small present in front of me, and finished, "…happy birthday."
He raised his teal brows at me, but took the gift from my hands. He then began to unwrap the gift, and seconds later, the wrapping was off, and he pulled the lid off.
When he saw his actual gift, he parted his lips. The gift I gave him was a small card that was folded.
I said, "I would've given you something more special, but this was what I could afford." I furrowed my brows a bit, feeling ashamed of myself for not getting him something better than just a plain card.
What I wrote on the card was, 'I love you.'
Bansai unfolded the card, and read those three words. The corners of his lips curved up, forming yet another smirk.
He replied, "Michiru, it doesn't really matter what you get me, as long as your song is the same as mine."
Without warning, he lifted my chin up with his hand, and he leaned forward, kissing me on the lips. My eyes widened a bit. I was taken aback, I'll admit, but I soon closed my eyes, and hugged him by wrapping my arms around his waist.
After drifting his lips away from mine, he whispered, "Since I don't have any plans for today, how about we go on a…date?"
I chuckled softly, "That'd be perfect. Where should we go?"
"How about a movie?"
"Good enough for me." I kissed him on the forehead, and I drifted the hug, now holding his hand.
We walked to the front door, and we put on our shoes (Well, mine are just sandals), heading out.
At least I gave him something for his birthday.
Wow, this is shorter than my Hijikata birthday fic, but who cares? XD
Anyway, not much to say this time, so happy birthday Bansai Kawakami! :D
