Phoenix Wright: Wise Warden

"After the events with Hugo Strange... They're considering shutting down the Asylum, if we can't get a new warden... It's gotten out of control. Ship the inmates to more secure facilities..."

"Hold it... Why are mental patients called inmates? It's either a prison or an asylum, it's counterproductive for it to be both."

"Well, they are criminals..."

"But it's the only major mental institution in the region. Nearest one to it is that rehab centre that specialises in depression near Metropolis. What happens to people who are unsafe to be around others either due to risk to others or themselves, but aren't necessarily criminals?"

"They went to the Asylum."

"You're telling me... People put run of the mill people with mental health problems, people who can't care for themselves and need the protection of the government.. IN THE PRISON WHERE SUPERVILLAINS ARE KEPT?"

"Well, when you put it like that.."

"I should have been a attorney, like I planned, augh... Okay, so, can I have the job, because holy Hera and the souls of Krypton, someone needs to sort this mess out."

"You're fine dealing with super-villains?"

"Honestly, no. I'm terrified. But I know I am scared going in, and won't let it break me down."

"Fair enough. I'll take you around the Asylum tomorrow. We're not expecting a breakout for another month, so we should be okay to do the to-"

"Wait, expecting a breakout?"

"Super-villains, eh? To be honest, there's not much we can do. We rebuild with the government grants, and the odd super-scientist makes our security better, but ultimately the Joker, or The Dirigible Derringer, break out pretty regularly. Batman usually brings them in pretty sharpish, so there is a schedule of sorts we can plan for."

"That is insane."

"Welcome to Arkham, Mr Wright. As the guards say, you don't have to be mad to be in this place, but it helps."
