It was Christmas Eve. Calleigh sat alone, sipping spiked eggnog.
She looked at the fairy angel hanging on the Christmas Tree and sighed. Last year, Natalia had hung it there, just before they looked at each other lovingly and then fell into each other's arms and kissed each other's lips.
If only I hadn't been so stupid, Calleigh thought, pouring a large amount of rum into her eggnog. Then Natalia might not have got so pissed and left me all alone at Christmas time. She wiped away a stray tear and held her drink in her hand.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and then a beautiful voice lifted up in song.
I'm not dreaming of a white Christmas Just a Christmas with you
Calleigh ran to the door. It was Natalia, looking beautiful all covered with snow.
"I missed you so much," Natalia said. "And I wanted to see your face again."
Calleigh hugged Natalia and started to sob.
"I think you're drunk," Natalia said.
"I think so too," Calleigh said and they danced in each other's arms until they knocked the Christmas tree over.
On Christmas Day, they ate roast dinner and lived without tears, happy together
