Authors note: ok this is mah very very first EVA fic…and please its kinda short
but I've been told its good so I'm taking their word on it…please give me ur
opinion 2!! o and i'm aware Rei isn't really the 18th angel but for my story she
needs to be and that u can't kill an angel by shooting him but bleh thats how my
story is hehehe ^~

~Forever~
With a sob she pulled the trigger and he fell, the smile never leaving his lips
although it was no longer filled with joy and happiness but a bitter sweetness.
A simple sentence explaining all "Goodbye me angel, we'll be together again,
Aishiteru" She fell to her knees, her body shaking with emotions she never felt
before. Crying softly she saw a new figure approaching her. He set a hand on
her shoulder, kneeling down he lifted her head to his, her tearstained face no
longer pure with innocence but wiser with the knowledge of pain. Wrapping his
arms around her and picking her up like a small child he carried her away into
the sunset. The sky red with the blood of the destroyed love, the oceans moaned
with despair, waves crashing against the shore as the two departed the scene.
He didn't bring her home but to a large complex, by the name of NERV. He brought
her to the medical ward where he set her on a cot. She had fallen asleep in his
arms her face still wet with the tears that wouldn't stop flowing. He sighed
rethinking about the event that were played, the large battle, his last wish,
the destruction, the chaos, the death… he didn't deserve to die, she didn't
deserve the pain of it, yet had this not happened the entire world would have
been destroyed.
*Flashback*
He stood before Adam, the urge to join with him unnerving. With a simple step he
could destroy the world, he could bring upon chaos and destruction, he could open
Pandora's box, but he couldn't no he wouldn't and the boy hiding in the shadows
knew it.
*End Flashback*
The boy was Shinji Ikari, the girl was Rei Ayanami and he; he was Kaowru Nagisa-
the angel of Freewill- Tabris. Shinji thought bitterly at how ironic Kaworu's
situation was, the angel of freewill with none.
A week passed than a month then two and three. It wasn't until the sixth month
that she awoke. For six months Rei Ayanami slept, forever crying as her mind
replayed the moment. In that time she shed the tears that she weren't allowed to
before, were unable to. When she woke with her eyes still wet, forever streaking
her cheeks, she stood and in her trance like state wandered to him. He called for
her for she was the last she was eighteen, created by man, mortal and angel,
easily replaced and out of mind. The urge had moved to her, but she knew she
couldn't she had to many ties to the world. So in front of him to defy him with
the same gun as before she pulled the trigger. The shot rang through the complex
having all hear it and run to its source to find the angel fallen to the ground
blood and LCL flooding onto the ground as they gasped. Gendo Ikari sighed
walking away his shoes echoing through the empty hallway to the secured chamber
opening the door to release the new 18th angel.
