It was just a normal night in Mobius. The hero of Mobius, Sonic the Hedgehog, was taking a run in the woods. While running, a blue blur ran behind him. This is Sonic's favorite thing to do every night. He usually does this when no trouble is happening in Mobius(which it usually does have trouble), because he has nothing else to do. But little did he know that tonight was the night that his life changes a little bit.
"Man, I love the night," Sonic said to himself "when the moon is shining, the stars are burning bright, and it's all quiet and peaceful. Perfect time to take a run.". Suddenly, he heard a faint sound that sounded a little eerie.
Arrrrooooo... It sounded like.
"What was that?" Sonic asked himself. He usually doesn't here any faint noises while running. But this night was different. Sonic did know exactly what it was. But he knew one thing: It didn't look good.
Grrrrrrrr... He heard a scary growl that surely scared Sonic out of his mind. He pushed his feet back, ready to spin dash whatever was heading for him.
Suddenly, a big creature with a huge snout with grey fur jumped out and growled at Sonic.
"A wolf!" yelled Sonic "Seems like he wants to dance!"
Sonic tried to spin dash the wolf, but it was to quick. The werewolf tried to pounce and attack Sonic, but Sonic got out just in time. Sonic decided to try and tire out the wolf by running, and then come in for the kill. So Sonic ran into the woods. The wolf followed.
But something shocked Sonic: the wolf was CATCHING UP to Sonic. This is impossible! No one has ever been able to catch up to Sonic! The wolf pounced onto Sonic.
"Please", begged Sonic, "Don't..." But the wolf ignored him. He big him right into the arm but Sonic was able to get out of the wolf's grasb in time. He ran off to go back home. Panting as he ran, Sonic looked down at his arm and noticed purple ooze coming out of it.
That's strange... thought Sonic My blood isn't purple. I should go ask Tails about it.
Once Sonic got home, he knocked on Tails' lab door.
"Yo, Tails!" Sonic yelled out "Come out here!"
Tails walked out of the door of his lab.
"What's up?" Tails asked.
"I was attacked by a wolf," explained Sonic, "and he bit me. I was able to get out in time, but the bite started oozing out some purple substance. Did my blood turn purple? Does this mean something?"
"Hold on," said Tails "I'll go get my equipment. Lay down.". Sonic laid down on a bed while Tails got his tools. Once the examination was done, he looked at Sonic.
"Well?" asked Sonic.
"This isn't blood," asked Tails "This is a sign."
Sonic gasped. "A sign of what?"
