Summery: They say that life goes by in a blink of an eye. It does for Dean Winchester.
The first time he blinks he's no longer the only child. He's got a little brother that he loves more then he even imagined.
The second time he blinks he's lost a mommy and for the most part, a daddy. But he's got Sammy so it really isn't that bad.
The third time he blinks Sammy's gone from sleeping all the time to growing hair on his cute little head and trying to talk. Dean actually doesn't mind, but hearing 'De!' a million times an hour is getting a little annoying.
The fourth time he blinks Sammy's transformed in Sam and Sam is learning how to spell and shoot. He never quite got the hang of working on grammar while firing off 45's.
The fifth time he blinks Sam's no longer just his little brother. He's grown into a fine guy man that Dean can't help but love a little more then he should.
The sixth time he blinks he's given up trying to fight it. Suddenly he's fucking his brother and they both like it.
The seventh time he blinks Sam's gone. He keeps his eyes closed a lot more often.
The eighth time he blinks his world is together again. His family is together. Sam's hunting the same revenge as their father, and for a few short days it feels like old times.
The ninth time he blinks, he has to fight against tears to even try to open them again. Dad's dead…then Sammy (because he is his Sammy) dies.
The tenth time he blinks his own blood is splattering across his body. Pain's searing across his mind like wield fire and Sammy's screams fill his ears. His life is over, and as he closes his eyes he's glad that the last thing he saw was Sammy.
