The two aging punk rockers walked up to the flower shop called, "Wild Arrangements." Yoshino Ginta took his keys out of his pocket and opened the door. "Our dream has finally come true, Hakaku."
"I know… and it's scarier than trying to deal with all our fans," his boyfriend, Kishio Hakaku, said.
"Yup! I think we should go inside, eh?"
"Yeah…"
They stepped inside, closing the door behind them, and turned on the lights. The place was a mini jungle of potted plants, with the delicate cut blooms arranged in large vases in refrigerated cases. Stuffed animals were scattered about the room, adding to the jungle-like feel.
Their day was uneventful, except for the bunch of school girls who had caught Hakaku stealing a kiss from his boyfriend. Ginta was willing to bet that their cries of "Kawaii!!" could be heard clear across Tokyo. Just when things couldn't get any slower, their old friend and one time bandmate, Kusao Bankotsu, entered along with his life-partner.
"Ban?! Is that you?" Hakaku cried as he came running out from behind the counter.
"Yeah! Hakaku!? I can't believe you're here!!"
The two old friends embraced.
"I know! It's crazy, eh?"
"Yeah… "
"So what brings you here, Ban?"
"I need a special bouquet."
Hakaku raised an eyebrow at him. "Trouble in paradise?"
"You could say that…"
"Say no more! Ginta! Code blue!"
He hurried over. "What happened?"
As Bankotsu launched into an explanation of how he "messed up," Ginta walked over to the refrigerated cases. Without seeming to pay attention to the conversation, the younger of the two florists set to work creating the perfect bouquet. He took a dozen large white hydrangeas and combined them with three dozen white roses.
As their old friend left the shop, Hakaku sighed. "Another satisfied customer…"
