A/N: ...Don't mind me as I upload really old fan fictions without adding on to my current projects. Feel free to pester me otherwise. I won't ignore you sweet people.

Why was he doing this to himself? He wants to laugh bitterly at himself but refrains from that behaviour. He is better than that. He is better than anyone else, much better, on a far superior intellectual level, of course.
Verde sighed as he leaned his back against his office chair, resting his back comfortably on the soft cushioning it provides for his muscle aches.
"What am I doing?" He finds himself questioning in a light murmur not even aware of his own voice. He hasn't heard it in the past month...has it been a month? He mentally shrugs. There's a high probable chance that could be the case, his body has the after effects of a month long duration of not looking after it. This obviously wasn't his first time; in fact, one could say he had worse.
What the hell was he babbling off to himself, he scrutinizes his eyebrows and wrinkles his nose in detest. The hell was he thinking about? He frowns worrisomely. He did not have time for a break no matter how small the time span it currently is. He lifts his head only to have it fall back with a pain jabbing his neck.
"Well, shit..." He obviously forgot to put a cooling pad on his neck to avoid this situation. He groaned half- sighed. It seems he would be stuck like this for a while. Exactly what was he accomplishing this past month? Well, first off, he did not accomplish anything...yet. Second off, why mention it when he, himself, already knows.
Verde groans with his eyes half-lidding. He is talking to himself again. This is an obvious sign of him lulling into his sleep. Before that happens he needs to secure his neck from further damage. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a sturdy rectangular device, lifting his arm up to view it above his head. He clicked a small blue button and immediately felt the contraptions of his office chair vibrate under him. He felt a lift and watches as he ascends slowly through the hole in the ceiling. The chair tilts slightly letting him fall off face planting on a soft bed. He moans lightly. He couldn't remember the last he felt something similar to his heaven sent bed. He lifts his arm up, pointing the device at another direction; he pressed a round, yellow button. Instantly, his neck was covered with a heating pad which temperature varies to help assist the pain in his neck. He moans once more but lightly in appreciation. His eyelids grew heavy in an instant and forces their way down meeting with the bottom half. He blacked out in seconds, vaguely recalling his phone blinking off alerting him of a message.
If he was awake he would have been able to see who had sent it, and a rather unsuspecting individual it was, Reborn.

The mad-scientist's birthday is today, is it? Knowing you, you forgot and passed out from another project. Really pitiful, aren't you? That's to be expected from a weakling such as yourself with only brains to support you. Ah, right I'm not texting you to make fun of you, I can do that another day, maybe tomorrow? No, I wanted to say: Happy birthday and Luce is worried about you, idiota.

Okay. So, haha, that's the first time I ever wrote about Verde. Hopefully that came out nicely.
Anyways, this is for one of my RP partners. Although this is extremely late I forgot to upload this…Happy Birthday, Kaylee!
I do hope you enjoyed this even if a little bit.
