A Surprise

I have settled very well into my new life and gotten better at things like hunting and giving my thought to my beloved Edward. He gets so happy because he can hear my thoughts (but only when I focus on it). Another thing that I have learned to mast is being a mother. My daughter Renesmee, she is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen (besides Edward). Renesmee is not like any other baby you've seen. She is a half- vampire, half – human, she's one of a kind. She grows up so fast and I mean that, Renesmee grows about 4 inches a day. Luckily her growing has slowed down. Her intelligence is incredible, when only at 6 months Renesmee could speak fully and read novels out loud with no struggles.

We celebrated our first Christmas together and it was wonderful! Alice went a little over bored with decorations but it still looked amazing. It was great to spend time with my family.

The days have gone by so quickly and now it's getting close to Renesmee's birthday. I'm so excited because she'll be on and all parents are happy when their child turns one. Alice is going to decorate the house and hope she doesn't go over bored with and Charlie will be coming over.

Alice, Edward and I were getting things planned and organized in the living room when Rosalie walked in.

"Bella" she said "there's someone her to see you and help celebrate Renesmee's birthday"

I couldn't imagine who could it be, all of my friend's think I'm in Alaska, Charlie's at work and Renee's in Florida. It's not one of Edward's friends and everyone who is coming to Renesmee's party is getting the house ready.

I could hear footsteps coming and a heart beat, they were getting closer until they turned the corner and I was holding my breath.

"MOM!" I cried "oh my god you're here in Forks . . . . . not in Florida."

"Hi Bella. Yes I came down here as a surprise. I haven't seen you since your wedding so I thought I'd come and visit. Bella darling you look beautiful. Hello Edward and Alice."

"Hi Renee" they said.

Renee and I talked for a while both catching up on things. She told me that Phil is doing great in base- ball and gets a break for Christmas. He is seeing his mom and dad in Texas. I told her how our honey moon was great. Edward showed me around the island and going snorkelling and going on big long hiking trips in woods (which were too long for me).

I still had a lot of tings to do for Renesmee's birthday so I had to tell Renée that we adopted a baby. Just like Charlie she was in shock and she also thought I was too young to be a mother but she also happy for me. She kept of saying "wow I can't believe I'm a grandmother" and "wow I'm a lot older that I thought I am." Of course that is what Charlie said.

I asked Edward to go and get Renesmee so she can meet her grandmother.

"oh my gosh I still cant believe that I'm a grandmother" Renee said.

Edward came back with Renesmee is his arms.

"Momma!" she cried and healed her arms out to me. I reached for hers and took them. I snuggled her into my chest feeling her warmth and hearing her heart beat.

"Renesmee I would like you to meet your grandmother" I said after I hugged her.

She turned to get a better look at her new grandmother.

"Grandma" she exclaimed and reaching her arms for Renee.

"May I?" Renée asked.

"Go ahead she needs to know her grandma anyways" I said.

I handed Renesmee to Renée and the got up to stretch, I didn't need to but Renée doesn't know I've become a vampire.

"Grandma" Renesmee said again and giving Renée a hug.

"Hi sweetie, it's nice to meet you." Renee said.

"Well mom, sorry but I have a lot of planning still to do for Renesmee's party" then Renesmee yawned real big. "And it looks like its nap time for a certain little one." Renesmee rubbed her eyes, hugged Renée and reached for me. I took her into my arms was already half asleep.

"Bye, bye grandma." She said waving to Renée.

"Bye darling." Renee waved back.
