A/n I've read many reading the books fanfics but I've only read one or two that have actually finished a book. So I've decided to give it a go, I'm going to try to finish it however I'm not very good at finishing things so we'll see how it goes.

After the claiming but before the quest.

Percy's pov

Sighing I closed my eyes. I was lying on my bed in cabin 3 - Poseidon or I guess my dads cabin. It felt weird knowing that my father was one of the 12 Olympian Gods. It felt weird just knowing the name of the man who helped create me. Hatred for the god filled me as he had just left my mother pregnant and never bothered visiting me. Sadness filled me as I thought about my mother. Sally Jackson was the bravest, kindest and the most amazing woman on earth. She had been killed by the Minotaur recently.

Suddenly a blinding white light filled the room.

I appeared in the middle of a ginormous room, 12 giant people sat on thrones in front of me. I looked around and realised that Annabeth was standing beside me, her face full of awe as she looked around.

"Who are you and why are you here?" One of the giant people thundered.

"Lord Zeus, did you not summon us?" Annabeth asked while kneeling .

Ohh right they are the gods! Oh gods! I hastily joined Annabeth kneeling.

"You may rise! And no I did not!" The man - who I realised was Zeus- said.

By this point we were all very confused as you can imagine. Suddenly a note fluttered down into Apollos hands.

"It says:

Dear gods and demigods,

We are sending 10 books to you to read. The first 5 will be sent now, the second 5 after the war so we will let you leave, fight the war, then bring you back. These books will help you realise what you are doing wrong, and may help you save lives. After reading them you will forget what you've read however you will have gut instincts on what to do if it's mentioned in thee books because it will be at the back of your mind. (Sorry if this doesn't make any sense) We also just want to see your reactions XD. (Pretty obvs who would have said this) Anyways, more demigods may be sent from your time and maybe some from the future.

"Wow!" I said, saying what everyone else was thinking. Only to receive an eye roll from Annabeth.

"Introduce yourselves" Zeus bellowed.

"I'm Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena" Annabeth replied quite calmly somehow.

"Erm im Percy Jackson son of Poseidon" I managed to stutter out.

"Poseidon! You broke the oath!" Zeus yelled.

"So did you!" Poseidon replied calmly.

By this time Zeus was getting very angry when another note appeared telling Zeus to invite Hades he started turning red. Unwillingly, he did. When Hades arrived it was explained what was going on. Unlike Zeus he didn't seem bothered that Poseidon broke the oath. It was as if he already knew about me. But he couldn't could he?

"Where are these books anyways?" Apollo grumbled annoyed that they had to read 10 books.
