Summary: 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
When Po is killed by the evil King Leck, Katsa sets out to have vengence. Along the way she changes and becomes a very different person who embraces her grace and it's amazing power. But power corrupts and before long Katsa is wishing she could go back to the simpler days when it was just her and Po, in love and without a care in the world except for their playful fighting. Luckily she meets someone who can help her with that dream, a woman with the grace to manipulate time. When Katsa finds herself faced with the chance of saving her love she jumps at it and lands herself in a mysterious past through the mountains where there are no gracelings and monster creatures of amazing colours roam the lands. However, the graceling that helped Katsa gave her a warning, for if she changes something it may have unforeseen consequences. Will Katsa be able to save her true love or will everything go wrong?

"Po. Po!" Katsa yelled in horrified surprise as she saw his battered and bruised body in the middle of a clearing. She ran to his side as fast as she could, but not fast enough. Po, Prince Greening Grandemalion, the seventh son of King Ror of Lienid closed his one silver eye and his one gold eye to the world forever and took his last breath just as Katsa reached him and hastily yet gently gathered him in to her arms.
Katsa hauled his dead weight up and held him to her chest as she embraced him and checked his breathing. But no signs of life greeted her, only the coldness of death that quickly swept throughout her lover's body remained.
Refusing to give up she rocked him back and forth in her embrace and with all her will tried to call him back to her.
"Please get up! Don't leave me, Po!" Katsa cried out as she shook his still body.
"Wake up." She whispered to him in a muffled voice as tears ran freely down her face, sobbing as she incoherently urged her lover to live.
But it was to no avail, nothing happened and even she couldn't bring someone back from death.
