Lee Adama was insanely excited to talk to his father. Unfortunately, considering he was only five, he would have to wait until AFTER the fancy outdoor party to talk to him.

Although Lee's mother, Caroline, had dressed him in his fanciest clothes for the occasion, he had been set free to run throughout the park. Of course, that meant Lee would try to sneak in to see his father. After the third time he had been caught his mother threatened to put him in the baby pen. This certainly caught Lee's attention, so he sulked off to sit under a big tree. Eventually, several other kids his age found him and they set about playing.

The oldest, who was around seven, had just learned a new song at school. He taught it to everyone, but they all agreed that the bumblebee song would be much more exciting if they had real bumblebees to show their mothers. This inspired a thorough search of the park, but only the determined Adama child ended up with a bumblebee. He ended up forgetting about the bee when his father came over to pick him up, and it ended up settling down inside his pocket.

The next morning, as Caroline was cleaning Lee's clothes she found the miraculously alive bee in Lee's pocket and set it in a jar for Lee. Unfortunately, Zak, Lee's little brother, found the bee first. Of course he wanted to show his mother the new song he had learned, but just as he was singing "won't my mama be so proud of me, I'm squishing up my baby bumblebee!" Lee found them.

"Don't you hurt my bee!" he screamed very, very loudly. In fact, he was so loud the William Adama came downstairs to see what was going on. At the sight of Zak trying to kill Lee's pet bee, he couldn't help it, a huge smile overwhelmed his face.

"Maybe we should let it go free, Zak," said William as sternly as he could.

"I don't know," started Zak, but it was cut off with a loud, "OUCH, HE STUNG ME!" Of course, this prompted Zak to move his hands, letting the bee fly out the window.

"Fly away my little bumblebee!" yelled Lee.

A/N- just a little childhood humor for the Adama boys! the song, of course, is 'the bumblebee song' and it goes like this-

Traditional Baby Bumblebee Song

I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee
Won't my mama be so proud of me
I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee

Ouch! That bumblebee stung me!

I'm smashing up the baby bumblebee
Won't my mama be so proud of me
I'm smashing up the baby bumblebee

Yuck! It's all over me!

I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee
Won't my mama be so proud of me
I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee

Uh Oh! Here comes mommy!
