A VIGNETTE

Danny held her head firmly between his hands; palm to temple, temple to palm. He didn't meet her eyes right away; instead he brought his brow to her, his pupils' barely visible. His chest rose sharply and he gently brushed Lindsay lips with his mouth. Grateful she didn't tense, he melted into her touch. It was the only instinctive reaction his body maneuvered because there was far too much time and space in between. He'd been keeping his distance a while now; he respected her to much to push all the while feeling like a gawky teenager afraid to make a move. She came to him and his chest exploded, all he could do to control himself was reach for her, for them now; all three. Finally he met her gaze and softly whispered "I guess this means we have a lot to discuss". She pulled herself closer to him, her belt was now at the waistband of his jeans "yes", she replied "but can we talk with our clothes on this time?"
