Cloud only had Yuna since the fatal deaths of Aerith and Zack. He became her guardian over the years, protecting her from harm's way. But Yuna always tried to protect everyone else, that's what her summoner instincts told her to do. She went to face Seymour's soldiers, she knew what would happen, but she didn't run away. She smiled for one last time, thinking she was protecting Cloud, and they shot her down immediately. As she fell she then realized what she did, and tears streamed down her face.

Now Cloud dreams of her. He blames himself for the brunette's death, for not being there when she needed him most. He thinks of her constantly and each thought messes with his mind, causing weird attacks, just like the Geostigma did. It haunts him and he doesn't believe he'll ever forgive himself.

"Are sins ever forgiven?"

"Isn't it time you did the forgiving?"

"But I let you die…"

"Maybe something will happen that can never unhappen, that scares you, doesn't it. But you need to think about now, really take it in."

"Which is it? A memory or us? "

Everything was one big memory to Cloud. He was seeing things, left and right, that didn't belong. He stood by Zack's buster sword. The wind played with his blonde spiky hair as he opened his eyes. But instead of seeing empty land, he saw Yuna's first sending. But as soon as that vision disappeared, others appeared on the large sword. The memories over-ruled his brain and a pain over took him. His pupils narrowed into cat eyes as he clutched his left arm. It felt like he was being taken over. It was all too powerful. He fell to the ground and tears fled his eyes.

He had been there for hours on end, no one ever noticed he was gone. But when he finally recovered he went to the slums and into the church where he met Yuna. He always slept by the flowers afraid of damaging the many lilies. A picture of Yuna was place next to him, the smile never forgettable.

The blonde stared at the lilies, he could feel her hands on his arms, and he could hear her voice. "You came, even though you're about to break. That's a good sign. So… why did you come?" Her voice was soft and so sweet. He wanted to believe it was real, so he responded. "I think… I want to be forgiven. Hmmm. More than anything" "By who?" Yuna sounded amused, and then the little giggles cut off and Cloud knew he was alone. Sigh escaped his lips and he fell backwards, next to the picture. He stared at it for what could be known as the longest time -blaming himself for everything- before he fell asleep.
