"If I Could"

If I could see you,

I'll tell you how much I love you,

How much you really mean to me;

If I could touch you,

I'll feel how much I miss your touch,

Your soft skin upon me,

Your muscles, so hard, but yet so soft,

upon my body,

making me melt.

If I could hear your voice,

I'll remember how soft and sweet your voice was,

whispering in my ear,

telling me you love me.

If I could just be next to you,

I'll feel like I'm in heaven,

Feeling you so close again,

Will bring me back to how much I loved,

Being with you.

If I could just hold your hand,

I'll remember how small mine was to yours,

How when our hands were together,

I felt safe and secure,

With your love as a bonus.

If I could just hear your heartbeat,

I'll know you never left me,

That your heart is still within me.

If I could bring you back,

I would,

Making sure you never left that day.

If I could skip that day,

So it never happened,

I would.

If I could go to wherever you are,

I would,

Just to be with you,

The one and only man I ever loved.

If I could have been the one who died,

I would,

I miss everything, you gave me,

Everything we couldn't finish,

The things you left behind,

Our baby will never forget the man I loved;

(And still love) his father.

If I could let you see your son,

For just one moment,

I would.

If I could just have you back.
