Long ago... When Sofia was still young, on the nights when she would have terrors, she would try to find comfort with one of her family members. Room after room she'd travel in the night, seeking the comfort she yearned for. Alas the comfort and sleep she so desperately sought always eluded her little grasp. Eventually she decided to just go see her Sorcerer. Maybe, just maybe, he'd have a potion for her to use to finally capture sleep.

That night, Cedric tried many different potions, trying to get the young girl to sleep peacefully, but they were all in vain. The child could not sleep, constantly being awoken by her night terrors. Soon, without asking, she had crawled into Cedric's lap as he researched a new potion. He had wrapped an arm around her, without thinking, to keep her from falling off. By the time he found something new to try, he looked down to find the young girl asleep. Her small hands grasping his robes with such strength, he doubted he'd be able to pry her off... If he even wanted too.

After that one night, the youngest Princess would travel down to her sorcerer's chambers for comfort when her terrors became too much. Cedric never once complained. He would welcome her as she crawled into his lap (and into his heart), sometimes he would even pick her up and put her there if she was really tired. And, just like the first night, her hand, or sometimes hands, would grip his robes so tightly, Cedric would think he was her life line, from what he didn't know, but he wasn't complaining. She was like the daughter he never had, and he couldn't be happier that she felt safest with him.
