Airwolf is somebody else's, probably Universal's or Bellisarius', and I freely admit that I'm borrowing their show and they retain all rights, etc.
If you read the first story, Single Parent Hawke, you can skip straight to the next chapter where the next story begins…
If you haven't don't worry; here's a brief recap of the previous story or you too can skip straight ahead…
It's the beginning of July 1985 and Stringfellow Hawke is struggling to fulfil the promise to look after Le, the young boy he believes to be his missing brother's son. He is juggling trying to be a single father alongside his responsibilities at Santini Air and with Airwolf but even with the help of his friends Dominic Santini and Caitlin O'Shaunessy, he can't be everywhere all the time. Pressurised by social services to shape up and with Dom gently suggesting they give up flying Airwolf, Hawke turns to Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III who offers him an unusual solution; finding Le's missing mother, Ana.
The FIRM have tracked Ana to a seedy club in downtown LA run by a crook called Darrow. Darrow is suspected of selling illegal immigrant women to men in the US. They think a planned auction is a cover to assist a Mafia boss with a drug deal. Caitlin, upset at being relegated to the background checks, goes undercover without telling the guys who are not pleased when they find out but grudgingly accept it. Unfortunately, after successfully getting information to Hawke, Caitlin is discovered and is taken to a warehouse along with the women Darrow is holding for the auction. Caitlin keeps her cool, finds Le mother and organises the other women to take down Darrow. She is just punching out Darrow when Hawke bursts in to rescue her.
Hawke reunites Le with his mother and she, in turn, tells him that Le is not his nephew; his brother stood as the best man at her wedding and gave her a name after the death of her husband so she and Le would be taken to the US. She doesn't know where Hawke's brother is. She also tells Hawke that her late husband's family have offered Le and herself a home in Seattle. Hawke says an emotional farewell to Le, reminding him that if he ever needs him, he'll be there for the boy…
And now the next instalment: The Jade Wolf.
