Poof!

This was actually a essay on 1st person perspective for my english class so I just decided to post it! It's from the spirit's perspective (the one from the first volume)

I had found him. After searching for hours and hours I had actually found him. The smell was just overwhelming I couldn't wait any longer. He was my prey. It was his blood that smelled delicious and I found it fun trying to hunt him down. Especially since he could see me, which was rare of humans these days.

This particular human though didn't seem to be afraid of me like most he just seemed…..I don't know…. Just seemed different I guess. He would always look back at me with furious and irritated eyes. I was just glad he couldn't exorcise me because that's the only thing a human can do to us spirits. We can just disappear and never come back.

Where do we go….If only I could find out without actually disappearing, but oh well I think I prefer staying. While I was thinking I noticed that my prey was getting away so I caught up to him and was hovering above him waiting for the right moment to catch him.

He started running and before I knew it I had pounced on him and had him squashed under me. Other humans were staring at him with weird looks and I actually felt a little sorry for him, but that wasn't going to stop me from eating him.

I found it funny the way he rolled back and forth, kicking the ground. Then he yelled at me I was really surprised. A human had actually spoken directly to me….no once had that ever happen to I felt a little happy. Maybe even happy enough to let him go, but I hadn't paid attention to where we were.

Darn it! I told myself that if the human touched a black fence that was around here I would be gone. I made yet another mistake not noticing the fence right next to us. I was about to get off when he touched it and poof! I was gone. Crap what a short life that was…
