It was seven o' clock in the evening. At Station Square, a young pink hedgehog was doing what she normally does - running after her hero. "Amy, will you please go away?!" Sonic asks in fear "Not if I give you a hug, Sonic!" Replied the pink hedgehog. Sonic runs the other direction. He finds a bush and hides behind it. "This girl's gonna kill me!" Sonic says in his head "How can I make her leave me alone?" He tries to think of something. "Gotcha!" Amy exclaims and gives him a hug. "Amy…! Stop!" He pushes her away to let air. "That's six for me, and none for you." She says in triumph. Sonic finds a way to escape her. "Aren't you late for something?" "Oh right! I have to go to Cream's!" She exclaims. "Catch you later, Sonic!" She runs off. "Uuuugggghhhhh…" Groaned the blue hedgehog.
Sonic arrives at Tails' house and groans again. Tails gets concerned about him. She won't leave you alone, will she?" Asked the blue eyed fox. Sonic looks at Tails in embarrassment. "...No…" He replies. Tails sits at the opposite side of the table with dinner. "If you want it to stop, you gotta confront her." Tails suggests. "I can't! If I do, what good will it make? ...If I do, I don't know what she'll do to herself...I want it to stop. Really. I just can't….I know who you felt when you lost Cosmo…" Explains Sonic in anger. Tails sighed. "Alright...if that's what you want, then good luck living with it." Sonic silently gasps. "I'm gonna go take a shower. It's been a long day." Tails exits. "I guess so…" Sonic says to himself. He exits Tails house from the door and runs off.
Amy comes back to her house from Cream's tea party. Sonic steps behind her. She hears the steps and turns around. "Sonic! It's you!" She runs to give him a hug. Before she hugged him, Sonic pushes her away from him, causing her to land on the floor. "Sonic….? Everything okay….?" Sonic gulped. His heart beating fast like never before. "Amy...I have something to tell you…." Amy gets up getting ready to hear what he's about to say. "...Amy…." "Yes..?" "I...I don't like you…" At hearing this, Amy takes a step forward "...What….?" She says weakingly. "I don't like you." Repeated Sonic, but this time he sounded more firm. Amy couldn't believe her ears at hearing this. "Wha….Why…?" Amy asks. "I don't want to do this, but here goes…" Sonic says in his head. He then says outloud "Because you always run after me and being a burden. You don't give me moments to rest. You're just so annoying! There, I said it. I didn't say this before because I didn't want to hurt your feelings! Now...leave me alone!" As Sonic slowly walks away, Amy bursts into tears. She goes into her house and shuts the door. Sonic heard. "Sorry, Amy. It was either you or me." He runs off. Amy runs to her bed and cries heavily. She takes her Sonic plush and throws it off the bed. She continues to cry, her heart was so heavy she barely stopped crying in the night.
Sonic arrives at Tails' house. He finds that Tails is fast asleep on the couch. He gets a blanket and covers it on Tails. Sonic takes off his shoes and gloves and sleeps on the opposite couch feeling guilt for hurting Amy that way. He tries to forget about it, then goes to sleep.
At nine thirty five in the morning, Amy is found sleeping on her bed. Her pillow wet from tears of last night. A knock is heard from her front causing her to wake up. She yawns then rubs her eye. "Huhh…Who's there…..?"
