Each time we're together,

you act like someone else completely.

Pretending to be cool and collected,

but inside you are damaged and broken.

When we are around your friends,

you always shove me aside,

trying to show you have power over me.

My friends say I should leave you,

but i know you're hurting inside for my love.

Trying to prove something to everyone,

but only needing to prove it to yourself.

I wish you would stop pretending to be someone else,

and truly be real, show people your love and kindness.

Show to them the reason why i love you,

the reason why I'm still with you.

My love for you is pure and golden,

but each time you push me aside,
