Port Royal's streets where vacant because of the storm all except a young girl who was in her teens wondered the streets soaking yet. "Where am I going to go?" She asked looking down at the ground as she walked.

Getting tired of walking and her wet clothes wading her down she found an ally that shielded her from the rain. Sitting down with her back to the wall drawing her knees into her chest and put her head on her knees, with a mix of rain and her own tears falling down her face.

It wasn't easy living like this, she didn't even have a home and everyone she went to turned her down saying that they didn't need such a woman like her, to tell the truth she didn't know what she was, her name was Tira Kuro her last name was Japanese for black and black was the color of shadows maybe what she was going though was how her life was suppose to be.

Slowing sleep took over her. "I shouldn't… sleep here…" She mummbled as sleep took over her.

A man wearing a Port Royal solider uniform approached Tira's sleeping form. "Why is a girl sleeping out here?" The man asked kneeling to get a better look at her.

Her face was matted with dirt and tears where running down her cheeks. "What happen to this girl?" The man asked as he put gently put his hand on her shoulder and Tira's eyes twiched opened as she awoke.

"What is it?" She asked. "I'm sorry for bothering you but why are you out here in the middle of this storm?" The man asked. "What is it to you?" She asked him harshly. The man didn't know how to responde to that this was the first he'd seen a girl sleeping in an ally. "I'm sorry but I was only worried." He told Tira. "Why would you be worried about me? From the uniform you're wearing I can tell you are a soilder of the port." Tira told the man.

Hearing this from her the man thought that Tira wanted to be left alone. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you miss, I'll be going now." The man told her standing back up and walking away from her.

Standing up weakly she followed him. "I never said I didn't want your help it's just people don't seem to want me around them." Tira told him. The man continued walking. "Don't you have a home to go to?" The man asked her. "No, no I don't." Tira told him as tears rolled down her face.

The man heard the saddness in her voice and turned around. "It's alright." The man told her as he placed his arms around her, it took her by surprise but when she realize that the man was embracing her she leaned into the hug.

"Thank you." She said softly laying her head on his shoulder.

After that sleep took over her and the man took her to his home and he let her sleep in his bed while he stayed up making sure she was okay.

Tira awoke in a room that was unfamilar to her but when she saw the man that she had met the night before it all came back to her.

"He decided to help me?" She thought while she sat up in the bed and when she did she noticed that she only had a under shirt on.

"Did you sleep well?" The man asked her from where he sat next to the bed. Tira only nodded thinking it was only a dream that the same person who had helped her the night before had acturally help her.

"Is this a dream?" She asked.

"Of course it isn't a dream." The man told her. "Then who are you?" Tira asked and the man got up and sat on the bed side. "My name is James Norrington." He told her with a smile.
