A Sweet Kiss
Dr. Remy Hadley sat at the table in the room connected to Dr. House's office, staring at the file on the table in front of her. She had been looking at it for nearly two hours now, trying to find the one thing she had missed that the other members of her team had missed.
"Hadley? What are you still doing here?" A voice from the doorway asked.
Hadley looked up and saw Dr. Allison Cameron standing in the doorway, dressed in scrubs with her arms crossed over her chest. She absently rubbed her eyes as she said, "Looking over the case file from our last patient. It's driving me a little crazy."
Cameron smiled and approached the table. She pulled out a chair next to Hadley and sat down. She grabbed one of Hadley's slender hands and clasped it in-between both of hers. "You can't let it get to you." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke.
Hadley smiled, "Yes, I know." She absently rubbed her thumb along Cameron's palm, stopping only when she saw a slight blush creep into the blonde's cheeks. "Cameron," she asked softly, "would it be too forward of me to ask you if you've ever kissed a girl?"
Cameron let got of Hadley's hands and softly answered, "No, but I don't think that Chase would mind if I did."
Hadley lifted her hand to palm Cameron's face. The skin of her cheek was smooth and soft. She rubbed her thumb along her cheekbone and heard Cameron's soft sigh of pleasure. Hadley sat forward in her seat and lightly brushed her lips against Cameron's.
It was sweet and brief. Then Hadley pulled away and said, "There, now you've kissed a girl."
Cameron shakily stood and walked toward the door. Before she left, she looked back and said, "If it ever drives you nuts, come down to the ER and we can trade war stories."
Hadley smiled to herself as she watched Cameron leave. Chase now owed her fifty bucks.
